Live Oak Golf Tournament
This is an explanation of how the tournament works. It is broken into five flights by handicaps so everybody plays with and competes against golfers in their handicap range. Depending on the number of people golfing, the goal is to break down the five flights with as close to equal number of golfers per flight as possible. These flights will vary based on the number of golfers with the same handicap.
Examples of how the flights could break down are:
Champions Flight: Golfers with 7 and under handicaps
A Flight: Golfers with 8 to 10 handicaps
B Flight: Golfers with 11 to 12 handicaps
C Flight: Golfers with 13 to 15 handicaps
D Flight: Golfers with 16 to 20 handicaps
The Varner’s are gracious enough to donate $2,500 for prize money. This is used to pay low gross men and low gross women, and the rest is divided equally between the five flights. The winners of each flight will win the same prize money.
The Dates to enter the tournament are Feb. 17, 2025 through Feb. 21, 2025 AT THE OFFICE. The last day that you can sign up is Feb. 21, 2025. The last day to play and turn in your score cards is Fib. 22, 2025. Please bring the exact amount of cash when you sign up.
The cost for Dinner and Golf is only $50. Golf & Chicken or $55 for Golf and Beef. If you bring a spouse or a guest, their dinner is only $35 for chicken or $40 for beef. If you only want to play two days of golf, the cost is $15.
